Notes for Notes® is a national nonprofit that builds, equips, and staffs in+after-school recording studios offering youth the opportunity to explore, create, and record music for free. Studios are packed with contemporary instruments like guitars, drums, keys/synths, DJ & groove stations – plus podcasting equipment and full digital recording capability. But at the core of every studio is a Producer focused on bringing out the best in every young artist by inspiring, educating and empowering them in the discovery of their potential.
Founded in Santa Barbara in 2006 on the core belief that music is the universal language of humankind with the power to transcend any cultural, racial, socio-economic or geographic barrier, N4N® has expanded to 30 studios across the US – and over the next 5 years the goal is to launch a studio in every state!
