Since its rollicking debut at the 2012 Detroit Jazz Festival, the Mack Avenue SuperBand put on some memorable shows over the years with various gatherings of label superstars - and we think the 2015 show is a particular standout.
It features 13 original tracks from a stellar ensemble: pianist Christian Sands, saxophonists Kirk Whallum and Tia Fuller, bassist Christian McBride, vibraphonist Gary Burton, drummer Carl Allen, and special guest (and 32BB Voice of the Art) Freddie Hendrix on trumpet.
